I just activated my Sirius radio and I can't figure out how to access the channel categories. When I press the CAT/RPT button it shows me the categories, like pop, country, talk, etc. and I can scroll down the list of the categories with the controll wheel, but I can't figure out how to enter the category and see what channels are inside.

Can anyone tell me what I am missing? I can scroll through the channels one at a time and save them to memory, so I can do just about everything else there is to do.

BTW, I have tried hitting the center button in the scroll wheel, and that doesn't do anything.

Thanks

It took me a second to figure this out to0. When you hit the CAT/RPT button, you get all the different genres. You use the scroll wheel to go to the different genres (Country, Pop, R&B/Rap). Once you stop on your genre, you can't press enter or the middle button in the scroll wheel. It is locked into the genre. You then use the tune button\wheel and it goes through those stations only in that genre. So for example if you choose RAP, those station I believe are 60-68. So you use the wheel and highlight RAP. Then you use the tune button/wheel and it just goes through those stations and none of the other genres. Hope that makes sense. This is how I've been operating it. I could be wrong if anyone else wants to chime in.

The round tuner button on the right side above the cd loading tray will go through the stations one by one.

Maybe I am missing something, but I still can't get it to work.

I hit the CAT button and then a categorys are displayed, RAP, Country, talk etc.

Then if I turn the knob to the right of the CD changer, opposite of the volume knob, that also just scrolls through the categorys. If I push in with that knob to try and select the category, it just brings up the menu for bass treble, etc.

My bad. Don't use the knob to the right of the cd changer but use the tune/next button. Can't remember what its called (the fast forward button)

I'll have to check it when I get home in a few days. Does it display the channels in the category or just tune through them?

I like having it built into the car mostly for the fact that there is no external sign of it, such as the tuner suction cupped to the windshield, but it is a bit disappointing that my $50 aftermarket radio works better and has more features, but it is what it is.

That's strange, the button on the right opposite the volume button scrolls through the individual stations for me. I'll mess around with mine a bit on the way home today and see exactly which buttons do what.

I can't recall off hand, but I think that knob scrolls through the channels on mine also, but not when it is listing the categories.

I have verified that the seek and scan buttons scroll through the categories. Its not nearly as nice as what I expected, but it is what it is.

Thanks for everyones input.
