What would happen if I were to put a set of take-offs which are :

2006 M35/M35x AWD/M458-spoke, 8.0 x 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels with 245/45R18 V-rated all-season performance tires. offset +47mm

on my 1991 Q45A that has the oem wheels that are +45mm?How much of a problem is the +2mm?I've read that people usually go down to a +35mm, but I never heard of anyone going up.

Here are some pics of the wheels that I'm talking about:

It'll fit.Claim you need to confirm caliper clearance, and demand a physical test fit. Never buy a wheel you're not already familiar with, without first doing a test fit. No exceptions.

offset is a little high, they MAY rub on the suspension... with my 18x8 30mm theres no way you could fit another 17mm in there without hittingthe 3rd link.

I honestly couldnt care less. However, I wanted to compliment you on your Q. That interior picture in your sig makes me quiver. Damn, I wish I knew how to keep WHITE leather immaculate.

Forgive the ignorance, but are you saying that it's better to go down with the offset than to go up? Is the +2mm is that significant?

Thanks for the compliment. It's never easy keeping a car that clean, especially white. I've always had black on black cars and thought they were difficult to keep clean.

where do you get 2mm? theyre going to sit into the wheel well 17mm more in the wheel well, which is too much.

I think he's comparing the offset of the (narrower) stock G50 wheel to that, which you can't do. Offsets can only be compared on wheels of same widths.

Oh gotcha...

Yeah offset is not constant, its relative to width.
