I have an 06 M35. When I start it it hesitates, does anyone know what this might be? It just started this morning, but has done it everytime I've started it today. It's stalled twice when starting it today too. I bought BG-44K incase it's a fuel injection issue. My battery is only 2 years old, so I don't think it's that. I'm a girl, but my Dad's a mechanic so I'm mechanically saavy. Any advice???? Please!!

UPDATE:
Now it's not starting at all. When I tried to start it this morning, it didn't do anything but turn on headlights and dash. The Keyport was flashing so I put my fob in it....Nothing. Headlights and dashlights wouldn't turn off. I had body work done a week ago and they replaced headlight. Could it be something to do with that? Maybe a short or something? I'm frustrated and at a loss. Any ideas would be sooooo appreciated? Wish my Daddy who's a mechanic was in Dallas. He's back home in NJ.

I think I'm going to try BG44K injector cleaner. Any advice on how to put it in? The dealer said put it in on full tank, but on the forum people have said to put it in on 1/2 tank and then fill up my tank.

Makes no difference-put it into a tank that gets full one way or another. How about a third way? Put it in the next time you fill your tank-first put it in then fill the tank no matter how empty it was. Anyway you do it, it gets mixed in. Then take your machine out for an Italian tune up!! Good Luck.

Let us know the result.

Hi Beth and welcome.

How many miles are on the car?
What RPM does the car normally idle at?

Did you or anyone do any intake work and mess with the throttle plate? If so, you man need to reset the idle/throttle.

Does the car drive OK otherwise and is there a check engine light?

With weather cooling down, you might want to have your battery and alternator tested anyway.
It could also be your starter.

I put the injection cleaner in on Monday during lunch. Drove FAST for about 20 miles. When I got back, I turned it off and turned it back on to see how it started. It started fine. Since then, it started rough again everytime. Now it won't start at all. I just tried to start it this morning and it sputtered and  wouldnt start. The headlights and dash lights came on, and I can't get them off. If it was the battery, would my lights still come on? If it was alternator, I would think it would start, but not hold the charge, not sure???

There hasn't been an engine light on. If it was the starter, would my engine light be on. It has 120,000 miles.

I just had bodywork done to it. They had to replace one of my headlights. Do you think there could be something electrical? Last time I had bodywork done, the shop had to replace my battery because it kept dying.

Any ideas???? :(

Did this problem start after having the light replaced?
It could also be a short somewhere.

It started about a week after I got it back. When I tried starting it this morning, the keyport was flashing so I put the keyfob in, but that didn't do anything. I'm thinking it must be something electrical becuase my door locks weren't working right and my horn was dying.

I think your Battery is D.E.A.D! Or the terminals are corroded.
