2006 M35 Headlight Issue

My left headlamp in my 2006 M35 keeps going out a few minutes into driving. If I switch the lights off and back on, the headlight always turns back on, only to eventually turn back off. If it always turns on just by switching the lights off then back on, does it narrow down the issue to the headlight/turn signal switch inside the car? Or could the problem will be somewhere else? Thanks in advance for any help.

My '11 M56x was doing the same on the driver side as well...weird coincidence. It stopped. My guess is the bulb or ballast connection is loose and that by the time you notice your light out, you hit a bump and the connection is restored and just needs to 'turn on' signal to be sent again.
