The beeping sounds to me like a key fob detection issue. Specifically, it may be the same beep I hear when I get out of my car with it running while the key fob is in my pocket (6-10 seconds sounds extra long, though). Try getting out of the car and locking it with the door button while it is running and you are not parked in your normal location. If you hear the same beep, then you know it has to do with the key fob. If you hear the same beep, maybe your spare key fob is stored too close to the car? This is a bit of a long shot, because I think my car only does it randomly when I get out while it is running, not every time. It could be a warning that it thinks I am about to drive off without the fob, so it may only be happening when it thinks I got in the vehicle or the vehicle is not in park or something. The beep is on the outside, though, not like the normal interior beeps (though I'm sure you can hear it inside as well), and that makes me think it is more likely supposed to warn me that the ignition is not in the off position (which means the vehicle could be started again without the fob [easily stolen, I guess]).
