Now that I have and love my M35, I'm realizing that I would really like the backup camera option, but I don't have it. How hard and expensive is it to add it? Which parts are needed, wiring, software upgrades? Any help is appreciated.

I think the level of effort and labor cost would deter most people from adding the camera after the fact. Its a lot more than just mounting the camera and plugging it in someplace. There are after market backup cameras available but all the ones I've seen use their own display.

Unfortunately, no longer a Nissan or Infiniti, but continuing here at NICO!

One other possibility, but I have no clue whether it would work - I suggest asking out a 12V shop for ideas.

There are after-market backup cameras that have a video signal available ... if there is a video feed in the back of the console, then this could be fed into it. Not as slick as having it turn on automatically when you put it into reverse, though.

Like NightWatch mentioned, the after-market wireless ones have a small screen that you can mount inside (like on the visor). Some of these turn on automatically, as I recall, using the fact that the reverse light comes on in the back when you put the car into R.
