I just installed a brand new transmission in my 2006 M45 Sport. Anyone know how I can obtain a calibration code without towing it into the dealer?

If I may ask, what is a calibration code supposed to do to a transmission? Is the car not going into gear?
I've installed transmissions (albeit used) and the car computers can't really tell that one mechanical component has been replaced for another direct replacement

Thanks for the reply. I learned that new replacement actuators are supplied with a blank Transmission Control Module (without software and must be programmed.) The transmission must be configured after the TCM has been programmed. Infiniti bulletin ITB14-021 is to be used for the whole process.

That's interesting to know that. Is using your old TCM out of the question?
Out of curiosity, where did you get a new transmission from?

The old TCM is most likely part of the problem...
I got the new transmission from discountinfinitiparts.com

Your valve body and TCM are tied to your ECU, you should install your old valve body into the new transmission.

Thanks for all the responses. The transmission TCM had to be programmed and calibrated with the ECU at the Infiniti dealer. It cost $159 and runs great now.
