Hello fellow Infiniti/Nissan Lovers. I'm relatively new to the car scene, and would like to take the best care of my car as possible, as well as mod it like there was no tomorrow :chuckle: . I had a few questions, feel free to answer which ones you know :dblthumb: . Thank You.

Idk what kind of package I have but its heated seats, Ac seats, Bose speakers (without seat speakers). I'm not sure what else to look for to determine which package I have.
1. I'm in a 2006 Infiniti M35x with 105,000 miles, I was wondering what should I do in terms of maintenance, I mean MAINTENANCE, full flushes, what should be changed, what should I check in my interior and exterior. Thank You. :chuckle: (I Also Purchased It With 93,000, First Used car I've ever brought, I don't have a service record either....)

2. I don't have a Dvd player, or Nav. Is there anyway I can remove the drive and put a Dvd drive with nav from another infiniti? Are they plug and play? Would they work with the stock screen? I would like nav & a dvd player. :yesnod

3. My rear speaker directly in the middle doesn't work :ohno: , what could I do about changing/upgrading, or others for that matter for a much better sound system, it doesn't sound as good as I expected.

4. I've read in other posts about Aux adapters, but from what I've seen they haven't been compatible with my version of M35x :tisk: . I also found one on eBay that I feel would work, but I'm not sure. http://www.ebay.com/itm/390656577221?ss ... 1423.l2649

I'm sure one day I'll have more questions for our experts :poke: . Please help me protect my baby :mike . Have a great one everyone :dblthumb: .

I believe the "tech' package gets you the Bose surround with the seat speakers as well as the NAV system and yet another DVD player inside the console that plays movies on the NAV screen. Your M, as you know, uses a DVD NAV disc that runs in a player indside your glovebox (also the same unit that provides bluetooth I believe). It is very possible that your car has the necessary wiring / harness already installed. Lots of peeps who added factory options as aftermarket have found that their cars were wired for them, even though the vehicle wasn't delivered with that option installed. If that is the case, you won't have to change out any part of the center area - just install the player in the glovebox and hook it to the factory harness hidden somewhere in that area.

As far as your sound system, I've read about this in the forum over time. Seems some peeps have installed agftermarket, non-Infiniti music players, Zunes, I-pod's etc. Sometimes when doing this mod, they unhook or remove wiring from the system that might be responsible for your rear sub woofer speaker to be silent (still in good working order, just unplugged during the mod). Hopefully, othesr who have actually DONE this mod or worked on their speakers can post about this area.

Maintenance: I reckon it's best to assume that nothing has been done, or even if done previously, it is time to re-do it. I suggest you do your next oil / filter change at an Infiniti dealer and bring them your own oil to avoid paying $15 per quart or whatever. I do that preiodically and bring my Infiniti guy a 5gal jug of Mobil-1 5w30 - they do the filter and perform the change and it runs about $20 - BUT they will also check your brakes, tires, belts, suspension, and lots of other things and give you a paper that lists how much time / how many miles you have left before you need servicing on those items. A good and cheap way to have an actual Infiniti tech give your car a good squinz to see what's up.
I would also do the following, one by one in the near future (or all at once if you have the funds):
Coolant system flush and fill
Transmission flush and fill (maye just a drain and fill is all it needs)
Rear diff service (on an X model it might be a differnt service)
Brake fluid change with your next brake job and power steering fluid change (you can do that one yourself very easily).
Tire balance and all-wheel alignment ( Some tire places will offer life-tme free alignment programs for just a little more than Inifniti charges to do it once).
Cabin air filter and seat filters (also easily done by yourself - filters bought online at auto geek)
Spark plugs will need to be changed (due at about 100k miles if I remember)
Hoses and Belts - I'm at 85k miles and Inifniti keeps telling me they are still fine and do not need any service.

Hope this helps. Hopefully, others will also post so you can read different options and decide which advise seems best for you to follow.
