Someone who knows more about stereos will probably chime in, but do you know if your converter is capable of handling amplified signals? Also, gain on amp turned up? Stupid question I know.

I believe that it can handle amp signal i went with a model i saw recommended on a few site got it a Walmart. I actually took the first one back because i thought something was wrong with it but nope same results. I also have the gain on the amp turned all the way up and the gain on the converter is turned all the way up. It also came with a bass nob that i have plugged in and turned all the way up also and they are just moving a very little bit so i know im getting some kind of signal just can't get them to turn up. Thanks for the ideas tho i really appreciate it

Hmmm. Does the amp warm up at all, to the touch? It sounds like it isn't amplifying the signal, which points at the amp. You said you hear something out of the speakers so it is not clipping out due to impedance. Do you have the ability to plug another source into the RCA inputs on the amp?

What's the cars bass level turned to? Also, how is your LOC wired? You should also tap in to a rear door speaker instead of the sub. The Bose system pulls bass from the sub as volume increases, but it doesn't from the rear doors. I have my single 12" tapped into the right rear door speaker, and my factory sub still working.

I've still been trying to figure this out i went to advance auto and purchased a different converter and installed it .Ok the first one scosche loc2sl the second one is a metra cf-ajlo . Like i said when i hooked up the loc2sl i was getting just enough of a single to make the subs move just a little and i couldn't get them to turn up so i purchased the cf-ajlo.Now the cf-ajlo does not have a remote wire hook up witch i didn't think would b a problem because i have the remote lead running to my amp well after installing it the amp would not come on unless i ran the remote wire to the power terminal on the amp now im really confused and have know idea what would cause this. Any ideas why my amp will not come on without connecting the remote wire to the power. Im about to through in the towel on this if i don't figure something out soon thanks for the help guys
