Please Help !!!!!!!!!!!
I just got this code today while driving P1217 Engine Coolant Temperature. My RPS jump up/down no power Temperature is all the way High. Antifreeze reservoir was full when engine was off and looked kind of brownish. There was a little antifreeze by the reservoir. Could it be the thermostat or more like a water pump ?

When and where did you buy the car? Brownish tells me there's rust in your coolant likely from someone adding water to fill a low coolant level condition. I would suggest you visit a shop so they perform a coolant pressure test. Replace the rad cap and thermostat then flush the system. I would also perform a NOT cooling fan test. Let the car warm up to normal operating temps and open the hood. Watch the cooling fans. They should cycle on and off. If they don't then you have to check fuses to cooling fan module and/or possibly replace the module or fan motors. As a quick start you could jiggle the plugs to make sure they are properly connected.

My mistake antifreeze is normal green it was dark outside haha. I cleared the light added antifreeze and run the car for like 15 minutes until warmed up. Everything was fine but no heat in the car. Fans turn on and off. the temperature stayed normal. This morning i was driving for like 30 minutes and than it happened again temperature went up check engine light came on and my antifreeze spilled from the reservoir tank. Could it be the thermostat ?

I would take a look at the radiator cap first and ensure the spring has sufficient tension then look at the thermostat. If replacing those two doesn't correct the condition then look at a possible blockage in the cooling system.

The code is for a number of things. Radiator fans not turning on and off like they should, thermostat not opening, radiator blockage, and so forth. Now by what you stated in your second post, you let it warm up without driving and everything looked fine, but it started to over heat when you went for a drive. I have seen this once, it was on my old Nissan Armada, and it was a blockage in the radiator, it is something that Nissan product suffer from. Most Nissan vehicles do not have a spring on the radiator cap, cause the pressure releaser is on the overflow tank. I have not looked to see if we have a spring on the cap. Have your system flushed, and change the thermostat. If it continues to overheat, then I suggest you start looking for a new radiator. I speak from my own experience, and this may not be your situation, but rather an avenue where you can start looking at.

be sure to get all the air out of the cooling system as well...there's an air relief valve located at the back of the engine bay -- phillips head screw driver is needed.... gotta burp that baby
