Hello all,
I haven't been on here in a while. I'm in the process of returning my car to stock. I had upgraded the brakes to the Akebono big brake. I have removed the front Akebono calipers and rotors and returned to stock brakes. However, the rear still have the akebono rotor and caliper because I couldn't find the stock rear calipers. Can I leave as is? Meaning is it a problem if the rears have the akebono and the front are stock?

Let me know, I have a long drive ahead soon!

Thanks,
Vince.

I don't know how much the capacity of the Akebono exceeds the stock brakes, but there might be a little rear bias when you push the pedal. Might not even feel it unless you're racing to a stop.

I don't think it will be too bad for a short duration on a long highway trip considering the OEM system has EBD (brake force distribution) which biases the wheels individually at will.
However if possible, these are the kinds of systems I like to keep as engineered, whether by the car manufacturer or aftermarket group. So all OEM or all Akebono for me.
