I have a dealer installed spoiler, with the led (?) lights. Problem is the leds are extremely dim. Also the window mount stoplight still illuminates.

Tonight I saw another G, same spoiler, no window stoplight (at least it didn't light up) and his spoiler LEDs were nice and bright.

Is the window mount stoplight the problem with mine?

How do I disable it? Is it as simple as removing the bulbs?

Any help would be appreciated!

it could be that they routed the power from the window light to the LED's , you can try to remove the bulb and see if it lights up brighter ...

i dont know how easy it is to remove the bulb though.

You can disable the window light by removing the bulb(s) or simply disconnecting it. As far as the dim LED's I have no idea. The resistors or configuration my simply not be optimal to be very bright.

Is it a off-brand or a actual factory spoiler the dealer added on for you?

Well its supposed to be the factory spoiler, but with my dealer, who knows? The install definitely was a rush job.

Trace the connection back from the spoiler to make sure you have a clean 12v connection and it's not daisy-chaining off something it's not supposed to. You can always try running it off a relay if you feel they tapped into the brake 12v+ and it needs more power.
