Hello all. On my '06 sedan (auto) I've noticed quite a bit of heat coming from down low around my legs, particularly on the right side (if I put my hand against the lower center console, I can feel considerable warmth. Could there possibly be any kind of heat-shield issue, or is this simply normal behavior (and yes, it's pretty warm outside the car as well).

Also, when drawing fresh outside air through the vents (A/C off), the air flow seems markedly warmer than the actual outside air temo. Is this because the air is being drawn through a hot engine? Oddly, I don't recall this being all that noticeable in my now-ancient ('93) Camry.

Maybe I'm just being a mite oversensitive. Let me know -- and thanks.

best...aa.

I just bought an '06 G35 sedan (6 speed manual) and have experienced the same problem in the short few weeks I've had the car (car has 4K miles currently). It feels like a very hot heater around my right leg...even with my A/C on high with the vent pointed down to my leg it is sometimes felt...Very annoying!

Keep us posted if you decide to take it in...I'd like to know what Infiniti's answer is.

Might be a problem, might not. The underside of the hood on my 03 sedan is heat-shielded, and I know that a 300hp engine (give or take) gives off alot of heat, and since it can't get out of the engine bay (heatshielding), it heats up everything around it. So if it's just a little warmth when the car is running hard, don't worry about it. From what it sounds like though, parts of your interior are getting more or less hot? That would be a problem

I only experienced heat after noticing that the seat warmer switch was accidently switched on. It's probably something else, but check them anyway just to be sure?
