I think i've read that it's a direct plug n play for the '06 coupe to a '04 coupe, you just have to adjust and aim the light. My question is, does that also work for '06 sedan to a '04 sedan?

What do you mean by tricky to place the ballast? shouldn't the ballast be placed where the original place was at?

Please excuse the noob question, but what are the benefits from replacing the 04 with an 06? And, where did you get yours? Ebay?

Direct Plug and Play for coupes

2003-2004 sedans/2005-2006 sedans have different shaped headlight assemblies, but coupes are the same 2003-2006

The projector assembly swap is a common mod

So I tried the "search" feature and this is the only link that came up linking back to a thread in the forums...

I too want to convert my headlights to 06' projectors... I've contacted the local dealership for info and this is what they replied to me with:

========I have a OEM. kit for $810.00 but they do not come with the hid control units but you can use your old ones.

from what I am told yes you can and it is bolt on and plug and play.========

Now my questions is how much would it cost to purchase this headlamp if I wasn't purchasing from the dealer?

2. is there aftermarket brands that develop headlamp for Inifiniti G35 coupes?

My previous vehicle, BMW... there were aftermarket brands like DEPO or vendors like umnitza.com which carried angel eyes, hid, projector headlamps all in one package for roughly 750.00....Anything like that for these cars?

thanks.

SVT - I did this swap and the main benefit I noticed beyond the look is a better light beam and the high beams are now incorporated into the upper projecter only. The "driving lights" are also the park lights and the turn signal is clear instead of yellow.

You can find a set of these used for around $400

They are an easy swap. If you want angel eyes, want to add some LED's, etc then you need to crack those things open and play.
