Hey,

I have opportunity to purchase a 2006 Infiniti G35 Coupe w/Auto Transmission for $21,195. The car has only 37,800 original miles and I am told the car was a one owner car before being traded into the local Ford dealership.

I test drove the car, and it drives like a charm! although, the low tire pressure light was lit on the car at the time of the test drive. the salesman said that it takes a little while after putting air in the tire for the tire pressure indicator light to go off.

I know next to nothing about an Infiniti G35 Coupe, as I am a Mustang Cobra owner myself, but my wife absolutely loves the car.

can anyone tell me, is $21,195 a reasonable price for a '06 with 37,800 original miles?

also, should I be worried about the tire pressure light? I'm wondering if it might be indicative of a bigger problem?

There isn't an Infiniti dealer within 150 miles of the city I live in, so I don't have any way to have it checked by an authorized dealer in the short amount of time that we have to act on this car.

I do have a local Nissan dealership, but I am highly skeptical of trusting their mechanical judgment concerning a G35 ....

any input that anyone has to give, would be greatly appreciated!

Welcome to Nico!!!

CHeck KBB and shoot for PP or closer to trade in if possible.

The Tire light should not be an issue. Check the tire pressures.

I actually prefer using my local Nissan dealer as opposed to the Infiniti dealer, but Nissan can't do warranty work for Infiniti. THey can do any other maintenance tho!

That price isn't bad at all. The tire pressure warning light should go off after the tires are filled and driven. Let the sales man drive the car and see if the light goes off. A G-35 and a Nissan 350Z are basically the same cars. A nissan mechanic who works on 350Zs can work on a G-35 so long as you buy G-35 specific parts from an Infiniti dealership. Infact there is a lot you can swap from both cars.

Welcome to NICO!

These boys have given you some good advice.

As far as the tire light, when properly inflated it should go off after about a mile of driving. If not, there may be a problem with the TPMS sensor which I think is about $180 (I'm a Canuck so may be different $$) to replace. If you go for the car, I would get them to certainly replace it or further discount you.

Thanks for all of the input! I was actually wrong about the miles that I originally stated ... the car actually only has 35,911 miles instead of 37,800.. plus, I will be trading another vehicle that I have that is just sitting around collecting dust... the dealer is giving us $10k trade in, so it looks like we'll be able drive the G35 off the lot for a little over $13k including TTL...

hey SVT .. I didn't even notice your name at first! haha ... here a few pics of my '98 ... mostly stock, with a few things here and there... the car is in mint condition and has only 38k miles on the original 4.6 4v.

I think that ~21K is a decent price. I'm sure you can get it lower... what options does it have?

If this is a base model then you are definetely too high and I would say it should be around 19-20K

hmm really, I'm not sure if the car is base model or not. again, I know next to nothing about G35's. The dealer doesn't have the car marked at all... I have the VIN. is there somewhere I can get a feature list from on-line using the VIN? I'm sure I can probably call an Infiniti Dealer and ask them? thanks.

I've been looking for a G35x sedan, but I see plenty of ads for coupes that are cheaper than sedans

http://www.cars.com/go/search/...ional

IDK why, perhaps demand for coupes has fallen further than demand for sedans.
