2006 g35 auto trans

sometimes when i put in drive there is a loud thump noise,should i be concerned.i am a honda tech and just bought a g-35,this dont happen on hondas.thanks.

Does it seem to come from the trans or mroe toward the rear. Sometimes when this happens differential bushings can be at fault... but not normally on a brand new car, but its possible. best thing to do is get the car on the lift and see where it comes from.
