Hello all,
First post so I hope I can explain my situation clearly:
I recently bought a 2006 Altima 2.5s special edition. It came with a set of xenon hid headlight bulbs instead of the stock low beam bulb. I removed the xenon set up, ( bulb, harness, ballast) to turn it back to stock and this is where my confusion sets in.
After removing the aftermarket stuff I'm left with two wires ( black and red, female ends) going into the headlamp housing. However, the low beam bulb they sell me ( auto parts or dealer) only has one connection, (male). I'm guessing the red light goes to the new bulb but what about the other wire? Am I missing something?
Thanks for your help.

The other wire goes to ground. After they swapped the hid's , they removed the ground strap.
