Client had (fans and clutch to compressor) "hotwired." She been using a switch for over a year. The AC compressor spins freely, even though the "Low Side Pressure was over 150), and everyone I've asked tells me to replace the "Expansion Valve!" This where I need help, is it behind dash under the "steel cross member" and if so does that come out too? The Heater/ AC assembly is wedged in the middle of all this, but I've seen some (Expansion Valves) are in "Engine Compartment" on passenger side against the firewall? Who is right, and I've looked almost everywhere! If anyone can tell it to me straight please respond ASAP! The client is "My Boss's girl friend..." Went to "You-Tube" and found no answers there. :wtf2: Post or email [email protected], or post it here; I'm moving ahead now a bit slowly...

Thanks to the Forum,
HTC

Older domestic's put the evaporator and expansion valve underhood, unfortunately most all modern cars including the Z stuff them under the dash. Looks like you gotta pull the dash to pull the heat/air box, to remove the evaporator to replace the valve, loads of fun, it's in the FSM.
