How is everyone doing with getting their air bag replaced?

The dealer took my 07 M35 in on Monday 11/28/2016 to perform the replacement. I just got a call on 12/1/2016 telling me their are no parts and there is no know timeline for the parts nor are any parts being manufactured.

WOW!

These vehicles are equipped with certain air bag inflators assembled as part of the passenger frontal air bag modules, and used as original equipment or replacement equipment. These inflators may rupture due to propellant degradation occurring after long-term exposure to absolute humidity and temperature cycling.

Consequence
An inflator rupture may result in metal fragments striking the vehicle occupants resulting in serious injury or death.

What Owners Should Do
Nissan will notify owners, and dealers will replace the passenger frontal air bag inflator, free of charge. Parts are not currently available. Owners will be sent an interim notification by the end of July 2016. A second notice will be mailed when remedy parts are available. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-647-7261.

The dealer should be talking to the regional rep today and getting back with. For now I'm enjoying the Q70 loaner .......

I'm surprised they took your car in. they should have told you don't even bother. My girlfriends 2015 Rogue has the same recall. Alot of people effected.

After learning all this I was surprised as well that they even scheduled the replacement. Apparently they did have a replacement part (old stock) but it was broken so it was not installed. They have been in contact with the regional rep and have decided to leave me in the Q70 for up to 30 days, if no part is found at that time they have instructed me to contact Infiniti customer service.

The new correct part was just released 12/8. The other repairs have just been an "interim" repair, basically replacing a defective inflator with another defective inflator. If it were me, I'd wait until the new updated inflator is available since the dash has to come out.
