So my garage is narrow enough, single car width, to eliminate many car choices, being 6'8" tall eliminates many others, but I think a 2006 M35 would work. Tree branches and windstorms, and tree resin make leaving a car outside undesirable. Just need to know the measurement from ground to top of side mirrors, stock suspension and wheel size, and if this car would mostly sneak under garage door hinges. Thanks in advance.

Juat to get you going. From an 06 m45 base. 43 and 5/8 inches high at the midle of the side mirror. Might be a smidgen lower than the 35x though.

I am curious about how your garage door is designed. I am usually more worried about my horizontal width, that is mirror tip to mirror tip. Or the same dimension with the mirrors folded.

Thanks.. I figured it was around 44" based on photos. The width is a concern too, specs for any car never seem to list width with mirrors for some reason. My 70s era garage (when cars were thinner) has springs to either side, hinged in the middle for a 1 piece solid door. I have a Cadillac Allante that's a a few inches wider than the M35, but the mirrors travel below the hinges. 44" a bit of the hinge bracket gets in the way, but it isn't too bad until about 47". Hinge to hinge I have about 87", 93" under the hinges, but have to enter at a bit of an angle due to the driveway and a tree.

I was going to say, looking at Edmunds, they seem to show the vehicle dimensions as length and width, and sometimes height for every vehicle ìve needed to look up. The 06 M dimensional sketch on their site seems to cover the mirror-mirror width.

And thanks for pointing out some elements of that door design. When I usually see them on TV, all that crosses my mind is how cool they look.

measurement for a 08 m35x base is 44 3/4" to highest point of mirrors.
