2005 what is this cable?

Hi, can anyone help? I have just bought a lovely murano. I'm in NZ, as with a lot of cars here it's a Japanese import, so everything is in Japanese. I'm having fun working it all out, but today I found this...




I found it in the box between the front seats and it was plugged in. I was wondering if it's something I could connect my phone to if I can find an iPhone version, or if its a computer plug to update the carwings from a pc?

I'm really hoping it might be a phone thing!

this is the cable to charge Japanese Docomo mobile phone, Docomo is like vodafone in Japan, and their early models are all in this kind of charging connector.

You are correct. Reminds me of my Docomo phone when I wa stationed there from 2008 thru 2010.
