Hey guys, I've had this problem for about a month now, since I had my tires changed at Costco. After an indefinite (seemingly random) amount of time driving, the tire pressure light comes on and the tire pressure shows up as ** for every tire when checking it from inside the car. Turning the car off and on immediately makes the light go away and I can again see the proper tire pressure.

This problem started occurring ever since I had my tires replaced at Costco. They offered some $8 service for the TPMS (I'm not sure - replacing the gaskets I believe?) and whatever else goes into a standard tire swap. I took the car back to them after the light started coming on and they said they fixed it, although the light is still coming on sometimes.

Any ideas?

the dealership has to 'wave a magic wand' over them.

Nillo of concord does it for free.
takes 5 minutes.

Costco tried to wave theirs but the computer in the car didn't want to communicate with their device.

The dealership is going to charge like $30, isn't it? Does anyone know where I can get this done for free in New York?

I just had Michelin Primacy MXV4 245/45 R18 put on last week at Discount Tire (nationwide chain and they match Cosco).

They installed 4 OEM Infiniti sensors for 7.50 each and they function fine.

They have great prices, very clean shop and storefront.

I always get my tires there.

My local Inifniti dealer did a 4 wheel alignment for $76.50 out the door.

Cheaper than any independent shop.

The sensors themselves run for at least $100. You probably had the same service as I did.

Interesting. I asked if they were OEM Infiniti sensors and they assured me that they were OEM and direct from Infiniti.

$7.50 sounded cheap, but they assured me they were OEM Infiniti.

They were probably talking about some of the rubber parts like the valve stem that lead up to the sensor. Nothing electronic at all involved.
