2005 SER oil light

Hello,I'm new to the forum,long time nissan owner.I own a 2005 Altima Ser,90K mi.Yesterday the oil light came on,I have oil in the car,also the oil pressure gauge is reading 0.Any help/advice is appreciated,as long as it doesn't require going to my local dealership for service.Thanks

Sorry to tell you but this issue could be one of a few things.

Definitely check out the posts on nissanclub.com and altimaforums.net forums, there is a lot of information over there for us Altima's. Moreso than on these forums.

It could be a serious internal engine issue (Timing Chain Guide) or a simple Oil Pressure Sensor/Switch that is bad and needs to be replaced.
