I was just wondering if anyone had ran into this problem. Something in my backseat is making a weird noise when I turn or hit a bump. I cant seem to figure out what it is. It doesnt seem like anything is loose but it sounds like something is. Anyone have this problem or knows what I should do?

I've heard of this issue...The noise is coming from the rear deck, right? I don't remember what the fix was...try a search.

Not to ask a stupid question, but is it something in your trunk? Check your spare tire...the center cap could be bouncing around...mine does.

I think somebody had this problem and they found that a weld tack had broken loose somewhere in the rear. I think you have to take out interior of your trunk to check.

I've been having a very slight squeaking noise coming from somewhere in my dash during left hand turns. It is driving me to drink!

Oh, wait, no... I drink anyway.

Well, it is bothersome at least.

Yeah, find a different car with a little more room in the back seat...if you know what I mean.

Well boys... I went to the dealership and for my particular year there was a handful of infiniti's with too short of mounting bolts for the rear seats. They replaced them because the car is still under warranty. FYI

By the way... did you happen to have the dealer check the back seat for the presence of a 'mother-in-law'?

This is not my backseat noise I've noticed, but my windows creak, also on bumps and turns, until I lower the windows, spray a little silicone spray on a paper towel and run through the crease where the windows seat against the seal. The creaking returns after a few months though. It didn't begin until I had been driving it for about two years.

Same deal here. I actually find that just rolling the window down a bit and back up "cures" it for weeks. There are some TSBs for the earlier years regarding the screws holding something to do with the power window regulator being too long - but I don't think they apply to the '05. I have also found an issue where the door trim fits over the "lip" next to the window. There's a TSB for that that I just fixed myself rather than risking having the dealership scratch up my tint that can't be purchased within 150 miles of here (Huper Optik). Basically installing a little bit of felt between the door trim and the door frame.

We still have an intermittent rattle coming from the rear view mirror... I think internally to it that I need to have addressed at some point.

Heath
