I helped my dad clean the AC blower because it was malfunctioning, turning off and on when set to 'face' mode. In any mode other than 'face', it works fine, but in 'face' mode, it blows hot air directly at you but only feels like on the right side face the right side feet seem to be cool-sh, runs for about 20-30 seconds, then restarts, as if it's trying to correct an issue. Upon inspection, I noticed the flaps next to the blower on both sides weren't opening or closing. I advised my dad not to use the 'face' setting for now (NPF) . I'm unsure how to troubleshoot this, especially with the complex dual control systems and various baffles. Does anyone have advice or know of a tutorial that could help troubble shoot or something ?

The flaps next to the blower are only for Fresh/Recirculate, they're not causing your issue. It sounds like you have a bad Mix servo on the passenger side. It's not uncommon for the foot air to be a little cooler than the vent air because it's closer to the evap and has a lot less ductwork to pass through, so that's probably coincidental. The bad news is, everything on the Quests is squashed and the Mode servo is about the only one you can get at without pulling the dash and crossmember. See ATC-160 here:
