2005 QX56 Headlamp Assembly Advice

I am dealing with a headlamp with condensation now and the passenger side hid bulb is out and ballast is wet. Any advice on this? Can I go aftermarket some how?Nissan wants 1500 for a headlamp assembly. They should be ashamed of themselves. I don't believe the car will pass inspection. Any advice or solution would be greatly appreciated.

yeah aftermarket is certainly a solution and recommended if you want a different look. all of these car makers jack up the price on parts. nothing new and especially for a luxury car you will pay through the nose for parts.

or you could go salvage, fleabay, craigslist to find one.

there have been some people to separate the housing, clean it out and re-attach the parts. I have seen this discussion on a couple of site i frequent, so if you are handy with doing such things, you can use your favorite internet search engine and find this info out.
