2005 QX56 ABS Problems AND Headlight issues

Hi All, First off thank you for any help that you may be able to offer. My 05 QX56 ABS breaks fail from time to time. Scary stuff. I start driving, go to apply breaks and the brake peddle drops very low and ABS kicks in. Crazy gringing noise occurs when this happens. I then have to pull over, place the truck in park and kill the engine. Restarting the truck the second time typically fixes the prioblem. I have a brand new battery in the truck so I know its getting the propper juice off the start. Any ideas?

Secondly my passanger side low beam headlight keeps shutting off. Comes on for about 3 minutes then turns off. If I turn the lights off then on aagin it will come back on but only for another few minutes. Balast? Thanks again! RK
