Need community's help here, with information or just to hold my hand.
Was trying to replace driver side lower control arm and did 2 things that prevent me from putting the suspension back together:

1. Snapped one of two bolts holding the aluminum knuckle to the subframe (the one closer to the middle of the vehicle).
2. Trying to remove the ball joint I somehow yanked the drive shaft and it extended and refuses to collapse. It seems that it extended in the inner CV joint as the boot now looks stretched. The shaft turns slightly back and forth and also goes in and out as if it was an impact drill.

So now the Quest is sitting in the middle of the driveway facing the house and I have no faintest idea how to get it towed to the trusted shop (where I should have gone to begin with).

Also the bolt that removed just fine is refusing to go back in more than 1/4 - 1/3 way. Does anyone know the lower control arm bolt thread pattern? I could try to buy a tap and clean up the threads if I knew what it was. Even if I got the bolt in, what's the use if I cannot put the ball joint back in because of the yanked shaft???

Any ideas regarding putting the suspension back together or getting it towed?
:frown:

False alarm, pushed the shaft back in and all is well, going to the mechanics come Monday.
