Thanks.
I stumbled my way though Paypal, then Ebay.I think I finally got everything correct, and it looks like I bought the brochure successfully.
Sorry for looking like such a dummy, but I've never used either of these Internet services before. As usual, the procedures are simple for one who has used them before, but a little confusing to set up for a newbie.
I keep a detailed file on all of the cars I buy, with as much information as possible. Yeah, I know it's anal, but as Popeye used to say: "I yam what I yam". This brochure will help a lot.
Unfortunately for me, the previous owner was the GM of the sister Nissan dealer to the Infiniti dealer, and service records are limited. Only one service shows up in the Infiniti system, the 15k miles one, performed at 19k miles. Allegedly, all other service was performed at the Nissan dealership, and I can't get records from them. But since my purchase, I have all records, and have had my owner's service log updated as best I can. The car checks out fine though, and the existing recently changed oil was clean. I immediately changed the oil to Mobil 1 10w30, then around 750 miles later changed again (the first change was a flush), this time to Mobil 1 5w30, and had the transmission flushed. In two weeks, I get the cooling system and differential flushed, then the brake system. When this is all complete, I'll have it detailed and the fine car wash scratches buffed out and the car waxed by European Detail Specialists here in Phoenix, the guys who do the cars for the Barrett-Jackson Auction.
Now if I can find a way to get a copy of the original window sticker, Infinit's build sheet, the importer's order, or the original selling dealer's order, I'll be all set.
Ideas on this anyone?
Many thanks to Heath and maxnix. As usual, my faith in this forum has been validated. You guys are too cool.
