I just got it in email from infiniti.. I like the changes personally. It's black and has a very expensive looking grill/front end.

They have also retuned the transmission.. hopefully they have better tuned the adaptive transmission..

The more I look at it, the better it looks. I'm nto a fan of it in silver, it doesn't look nearly as aggresive. This black pic I have in my email is gorgeous..

It makes it look so mean.. The changes they did to the grill and overall lines of the hood, make it look like it's out for revenge

funny how they spent the time and money to "improve" what,just last year they touted as "the worlds best headlights", "so powerful,foglamps are not needed"! hmmm-sure looks like they changed their mind on the headlight design,and the addition of "unnecessary " foglamps!unfortunatly,a total waste of money,as this "update" to the q will do NOTHING to spark sales,time to kill the latest Cima and build a true successor to the 90-96 q,please,before it is too late to regain their cred. at the top end of the market.

Yea, it's just an update before an all NEW Q comes out..

Look to the new M45 to become Infinitis new flagship until the new Q comes out.. Look to the new M45 for much of the new Qs features etc..

The lights are plenty powerfull.. It's just like the original ornament.. It wasn't a hit, so they are adding the default feature they excluded...

The F50 is a nice car, not a successor to the G50, but a nice car nontheless... The Y33 wasn't a successor either... The current M45 is as close as we've come..

The new M45 will be an amazing car.. Infinitis flagship for a few years

I was getting ready to post that I needed to see them side by side to tell the difference between the 04 & 05.

Then I saw the black pic & it was immediately apparent.

Maybe those *old* *tired* 02-04 designs will fall from financial grace even quicker now.

Just out of curiosity, what are the performance differences between the 3 generations (stock)? Has there been any threads that go into the details. I personally am keeping an eye on the F50 as a future replacement to my G50, so I'd like to know any difficiencies in the current Q and what I would miss from the G50.

Y33 oWnz joo!! I like that Q alot, but I'm not a huge fan of these huge headlights. The car looks so tall from the front, but I really like it overall. Can't wait to see the Junction Produce or Wald versions.

Everyones knows the saying "A car is the worst investment". I look at is this way. While an Infiniti may depreciate more than a Mercedes/BMW badge - - The money you will be spending on repairs at the dealer it will all even out in the end (personal experience speaks the truth here). This does hold true. Infiniti's are one of the most reliable cars out there, this has been proven. In 3-5 years I think Infiniti will overtake Lexus at the rate they are going. If you notice, every year they are raising prices above the averrage amount for a the new model year. The Q is 2K more than it was in 2002. The need to fire their current marketing team though.

I thought I was going to be blown away from the teaser pics on the website, but it's more of a let down. The first thing that came to mind on the rear was AVALON. Something about this just doesn't look right. To me, it just doesn't look as luxurious from the outside. I don't know what is missing, but something is. It looks less "sleeper" than it ever did and looks more "amercianized".

I do not like the rear lower apron. From the high res pics on the news site, it looks like it may be black, the lower portion. It just doesn't flow or look as muscley as before.

The orange seats look comfy, but I like the all black personally. I also like the pre '05 orange colored BIRDSEYE wood better on a dark interior. I just love my wood color!

The only thing I'd take are the new tails, minus the trunk pieces. Some LED's would be neat.

You wouldnt take the reprogrammed TCU.. it's supposedly much smoother and deals with the crappy adaptive issues everyone has. Of course this remains to be seen, but generally Infiniti is pretty goood about fixing overly obvious issues with their cars.

The seats look more comfy, and supposedly offer more bolster.

I simply do not like the 2k5 in anything but that black pic I saw. I don't like it in silver.

Funny you mention avalon my dad saw a 2k2 white yesterday, and thought it was an up market toyota read avalon..

I agree. It will never sell. If you threw a mercedes star on the front, it would be sold out! If this was the new S class, Mercedes owners wouldn't know what to do.

I always thought the F50 was good looking, although I'm in the minority. I really thought it would sell better.

I hope it holds up as well as the G50....

I think in the 2k5 you can voice the address in the nav, as opposed to having to plug in it with the somewhat clunky interface...
