2005 Q45 driver's seat collapse

The driver's seat collapses 3-4 inches at the left rear when I sit on it. Any ideas on why and what the fix might be? We have not yet removed the seat to investigate...thought I'd check here first for tips. Thanks.

FYI...finally pulled the seat out. Turns out a weld in the frame was broken. We managed to weld it without disassembling the seat...good thing as it looks about as complex as the Space Shuttle in there...problem solved.

Hello. Was it a difficult fix? Something i can do myself? Both driver and passenger seat does that...
