Hi all,

sorry total noob here, this is my first SUV and ive been trying to figure out how to open the rear window with no luck. I tried searching the manual but it seems that i am a total retard that it doesnt even list it in the manual. Can someone tell me how to open the rear window (the one with the wiper) on the hatch door.

And if anyone knows how to change the license plate light on the 05 pathfinder as well. Thank you all so much and sorry for all the noob questions.

Falcn,

The window latch is just to the right of the main door latch on the outside of the rear hatch. Make sense? So, if you were to open your rear hatch as you're standing behind the truck, shift your hand to the right. You'll feel another handle - that's the one for the window only.

Changing the license plate lights is a little more complicated. You have to remove the lower portion of the hatch interior. Two screws (one by the little cutout for your hand and another behind the first aid kit) come out and then you pop out the plastic shell. Careful to pop it out evenly or you'll break some of the tabs inside of the shell. Some are removable and some are not. Once you pop out the shell, you'll be able to feel behind the sheet metal framing for the license plate bulbs. Recommend you get some 194, LED bulbs for it. You can get them in different colors and they last forever. I prefer either blue or white, depending on your Pathfinder's color. If you get the high-flux or tri-chip LEDs, they'll be bright enough to accomodate any color you want to use - and still light up your license plate so you're legal.

Hope this helps.

Not in California where license plate lights have to be white. Vehicle codesection 24601. I suspect most other states are the same.
