2005 Pathfinder Engine Noise....after 2k RPM

I was wondering if anyone else have this issue. For some odd reason, I would hear like a rattling noise coming from the engine bay when I rev between 2k & 3k RPM. It sounds like something is loose or something. I have checked and there seems to be nothing out of the ordinary to be wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated. BTW, my Pathy has over 43k miles on the odometer.

have you checked the heat shields on the exhaust and catalytic converters? They tend to rust out, come loose, and begin to rattle over time.

More specifically the heatshields are usually the culprit also

I mean, I said check the heat shields on the cats and exhaust, so saying "the heatshields" would actually be slightly less specific

I haven't had a chance to look under the car or under the hood, but I did find a TSB about it. I will post the tsb # later.
