this may seem like a stupid question but keep in mind i drive a sr20det swapped 240sx, 91 d21 pick up and a 83 toyota supra. however my wife drives a 2005 nissan pathfinder and i recently noticed the anti-freeze was low so naturally i put some in however it seems to be changing color and im wondering if the new pathfinders are like the Volkswagen's my friends drive and require a special type of anti-freeze. we bought the suv used so no manual and rather a google search led to many answers none of wich matched each other and half of wich had nothing to do with my question. thanks to anyone for the help

2005 Pathfinders were filled with Nissan's green coolant. If it is changing color, there may be transmission fluid contaminating the coolant and vice versa. Please see here for further details: http://www.nissanassist.com/web/Radiato ... hp?menu=22

upon further (cooled down inspection) it seems that maybe its just low again it is actually green still and i dipped a white oil spill pad piece into the reservoir and the radiator cap and it came out clean and no signs of oil floating on top. so perhaps i have a slow leak somewhere causing it to run low and heat up quickly but just enough to drip on the ground and make a noticeable puddle? the link you posted however that's quite concerning and will be watching carefully especially since i am about 50 miles away from the 100k mark. thanks!
