2005 Nissan Sentra 1.8 S exhaust and other fuel efficiency improving mods

I am looking at doing something with the exhaUST ON THE 2005 nISSAN sENTRA WITH 1.8 S and automatic transmission.

How long do the exhaust usually last in the rust belt? I am guessing it's lifespan is about up.

Can anybody give a recommendation &/or links to good stainless exhaust systems?

We do not want anything loud. Just more efficient.

ARe there any other mods that will provide greater fuel efficiency and longevity?

Somebody suggested I chip it. But I have no idea with what.

One of the best ways I know if to tune a sentra is by flashing with the uprev software. It's kind of spendy, but you get to fine tune your car to how ever you like.
I know they are able to flash the SE-R's and Spec-v's, but I'm not sure if the QG sentra would make a difference.

In terms of exhaust, I know that a SE-R exhaust can fit, but the hanger positions are difference, so some modifications would be needed.

Honestly, after all of that, the best way to be more fuel efficient is to drive slower with no hard acceleration.
You could have the most fuel efficient vehicle in the world, you'll burn more gas if you have a heavy right foot.

You'll also use more gas and cause engine problems if you drive with a bad exhaust / cat converter.

Sometimes there are specific things that can be done to a vehicle that will yield the potential for better fuel mileage. Many times even performance upgrades yield better economy.
