2005 Nissan Pathfinder replacement transmission

So I ran into the problem with the radiator fluid / transmission fluid contamination. Replaced the radiator with an aftermarket one and flushed the transmission but caught it too late as I'm getting solenoid error codes and slippage, etc.

I found a wrecker that has a transmission with 47K miles on it. Before I go through all the expense of swapping it out, is there any chance this wrecker transmission could have been contaminated too? I can see something with a lot more miles having a greater chance being in the scenario but not sure about the lower mileage one.

Anyone have any feedback?

Anything is possible - those did start having problems at low mileages.

If you are buying from a wrecking yard, they should give you a 30 day warranty on the transmission. If you are buying private party, ask if you can drain some fluid before you buy it. Contaminated transmission fluid will be foamy / milky.

Pull the pan and inspect things before you put it in the truck ( or before you buy it).
