I read the Manual and it's saying to bring it to the dealership. Is there a way that I can get it fixed without going through the dealership? Can I do it myself first?

When you go to the auto parts store, just ask one of the guys there to do it and watch how he does it

bad idea. 1. most part stores won't put them in for liability2. the bulb (for that vehicle from advance, $137.77) is cheaper than dealer, but installation requires a lot of work from what i hear. guys at nissan plant say that the bumper has to be removed for bulb replacement.

anyone else feel free to chime in to correct me or give some more info.

Depending on what side it is. On the passenger just remove the wheel and the wheel well. Its held by 3 screws and a few rivets. On my drivers side I just removed the air filter housing and change the bulb.

if its just the blub its not to hard. Passenger side is just the sturt cover piece that spans down the entire pass. side of the engine compartment. The driver side you have to remove the air filter housing....someone just said all this

BUT

if its the headlight assembly the front bumper cover has to either be removed or slightly unbolted so the headlight bolts and can removed.

Honestly the easiest way to do this is to drop the front bumper and remove the headlight housing. Not sure if you have DPP (since you have an SE) but if not then you have Halogen lights and you need bulb 9012 (shouldn't be $137) Hit me up if you want more details.....
