1Hey guys! My wife started up the murano this morning with the check engine light on. Which was odd b/c it was not on last night. Anyways the light went out then came back on with the all wheel drive light on. She continued down the road towards the highway, when she went to merge there was virtually no power to the point the car wouldn't go anywhere! Now stuck on the side of the road we had to tow it to nissan. Any ideas? There was not bagging sounds no smells, leask or anything. Wierd.

I would buy/borrow a code scanner, that will tell you exactly which code(s) are stored in the computer, and lead you to your diagnosis.

It turns out 2 computers are not talking to each other properly. Not really sure what that means, or how much it will cost to fix :S. Thanks for the response tho :) Nissan has it atm. They said it is going to me a trial and error situation. Has anyone ever had this happen? or heard of this happening?

I have a 2003 and until last month she drove beautifully. Then a tire blow-out happened, then alignment, then Service Engine. The code it kicked out was P0340 (I will forever remember that) my father replaced the CamShaft Position Sensors (Qty 2) and it has taken care of the Service Engine light, but the car seems to idle very low when I am coming to a stop (it sounds like the car is off or like an electric car...very quiet) I know I should not complain about a quiet car but for the last 7 years it was not that quiet. Pop still has to run some more tests.

During the time the Service Engine light coming on and the replacement of the CamShaft Position Sensors, I experienced loss of power but never stalled during drive, just a clunk and a feeling like when you change gears on a bicycle but the car kept going. Toward the end, I had a very hard time starting the car, I would have to try about 3 times to get it going.

I hope this info helped and good luck.
