Has anyone had issues playing WMAs in their G35? The unit and manual say the play them but I get a "Unplayable" on the unit when I pop one in. Unfortunately the manual is not helpful in troubleshooting the issue. I was told leaving the CD open or closed when burning it can sometimes cause an issue. I closed it since that seems to be the general consensus on what to do.

Any help or advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

No real help here, but I had the same problem. I started converting my WMAs to MP3s, but that became tedious. I bought an iPod and transfered everthing over to that. IIRC, the itunes software recognized the WMAs.

i had a similar issue.

just as bunburry mentioned, I made sure to convery all of the files to MP3 format. you can do this very easily in iTunes (right click on the songs, and then click "convert to MP3 format). you can do this by selecting all of your songs at once (it will create duplicates though).

I then reloaded the CD, and all of the songs played nicely.

good luck, hope this helps.

Some WMAs are protected or have weird header information, so that could be causing problems with the car's player

WMA is pretty much the worst format to have your music in. MP3 or bust!

I did some research and WMA to MP3 is on the top list of worst conversion quality.

I know a lot of audiophiles don't like MP3, but a high bit rate MP3 is usually sufficient to make my ears happy.

Thank you to all who responded. I converted them to MP3 and worked like a charm! Thanks!
