lol Are you kidding me???

Here is the specs of the 2005 S2000http://www.edmunds.com/used/20....htmlAnd heres the spec of the 2005 G35http://www.edmunds.com/used/20....html

For nearly 60 hp different how can you say the S2000 will win? Plus the max torque of the S2000 is at 6500 compare to the G35 which is at 4500. A tiny 2.2 inline 4 cylinders compare to a 10 best engines in US 3.5 liter V6... lol If I am any way wrong about the data, please tell me.

I believe his is a 2003 S2000

My 2005 G35 SEDAN (auto) with sport suspension and no sun roof

DID, over and over. Two guys in each car, always took him off the line and would have a car length or more. He would start to pull on me as we approached 65 but not catch me.

Fianlly with driver only in his car and THREE guys in mine he caught me after we hit 65 and pulled ahead.

In normal, straight line driving there was no contest.

From just a horsepower standpoint, the two cars are nearly identical. Looking at the specs you pointed to, the Honda weighs 2,835 lbs, with 240hp. That translates into .084 hp/lb. The G weighs 3,512 lbs with 298hp which is also .084 hp/lb. It seems that it would likely come down to differential gearing, transmission gearing, and driver ability.

Don't forget to add his 170 lb body to his car and my 200 plus the other two guys at about 360 for both to my car.

The 2005 auto torque converter seems to really work well. I had driven 2004 G35 and when I drove the 2005, I said to myself "What the heck did they do with this car, it comes on like a turbo!".

Now that is around the city. When I am at freeway speeds it does not get up and go on high speed passing like it does off the line.

My 2007 Solstice GXP (260 hp/ 260 torque) responds at any speed.

I don't know if you can interpolate 5 speed auto results to 6 mt.

My results, as obvoius, were with the auto, your acceleration may vary.
