2005 G35 sedan questions

Hello everyone,

I just picked up my new G35 sedan 6mt I have a few questions that I'm a little confused about maybe you guys would have some better insights

The guy I picked it up from told me he installed a skunk 2 spacer which he did and also 370 cam gears

The Service engine light is on I haven't had time to run the codes hoping I get it check tonight and will update

He stated the magnets needed to be synced which is basically a tune since he installed the cam gears I'm confused on what he means by the magnets needing to be synced

Anyone have any info or input on what he might mean ?

I researched for 2 days and couldn't find anything Thank you

I believe you are talking about a Plenum Spacer (might increase horsepower and top end torque due to better airflow. I'm guessing ~ 5 hp max. I don't know what the quality of Skunk2's products are.) and Cam Gears for a 370z (I'm guessing this just allows for more precise tuning of the intake/exhaust timing - maybe another ~5 hp if you get a really nice tune).

I'm also going to assume your Service Engine Light is on because the new cam gears have thrown the timing off a bit.
