2005 G35 rev limiter

2005 G35 rev limiter
Just wondering if my car is suppost to have a rev limiter as the other day I was driving the 5AT in manual mod, got distracted and the engine went up to 7200 rpm. I thought the rev limiter was suppost to not allow this.

rev limiter is 7500 on rev up engine.

ah...the rpm gauge is not 100% accurate, can be off 100-200 rpm.

The rev limiter for the non rev up is 6800rpm. I doubt you were at 7200. That's death zone.
