Last night I was driving home when I let off the gas and was coasting to a red light when the car started to jump in RPMs it went from about 1500 to around 3400RPM and kept doing it just jumping back and forth so i pulled into a gas station where i put it into neutral and was still coasting a bit and then it stalled it will start but it will jump all over RPMS and I just barely touched the gas and it shot it to 5000RPMS so i shut it off unhooked the battery for about 2 minutes to make sure the computer would reset hooked it back started it and tried to put it into gear(it's an automatic) and it stalled so I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem before or has even heard of it? any help would be great thanks

What modifications have you made to the stock engine?

Sounds like the throttle body is bad to me. Known issue.

well turns out it was a rubber gasket that was inside the CAI and somehow got loose thankfully it got caught in the intake and didn't go into the engine dodged that bullet and it only has a CAI and a 4-1 header that goes into a 2.5 downpipe(after much hastle and welding on the dang thing to get it to clear the suspension in the front) other than that nodda thinking about freeing up some more exhaust because from the downpipe back it's all stock I was thinking of cutting off the muffler and welding dual tips on it but not sure yet cause it would get a wee bit louder but then i was also thinking about getting rid of that dang 2 ft long resignator or whatever it is in the middle of the car and leaving the muffler on but who knows lol but I've been meaning to take some pics but haven't got around to it but I will for sure tomorrow and i'll post them in here
