You guys have seen the previews of the new Frontier and Pathfinder and maybe even the Altima (no thanks to my bloomin' camera) but what have you heard and what do you think?

For instance, are you aware of the upgrade in engine and size of the Frontier? The reasoning behind it? If you aren't let me catch you up to speed. 4.0 litres, 240 hp...longer wheelbase...increased towing capacity. 2005 brings to the Frontier what 1998 brought to the Hardbody. It's completely reinvented the Nissan compact pickup. The competition is getting stiffer and they're catching wind of what Nissan is doing and following suit. Checkout Toyota and Dodge. They're both adding brawn to their truck lines. It couldn't have come at a better time. Since the death of the Desert Runner people have talked about what the Frontier is lacking. It's all about to change. Watch the lots for the new Frontier early summer late spring.

The new Pathfinder or Baby Armada is set to have a huge year. The 2005 Pathfinder marking another milestone for Nissan with it's second 3rd row seating vehicle and another upgraded vehicle. I must admit, I'm very sad to see the old Pathfinder get it's first true facelift in years. I'll bet not too many of you remember the move "A Thin Line Between Love and Hate" starring Martin Lawrence and Lynn Whitfield. The two things I liked most about that movie was Lynn Whitfield and Martin's black Pathfinder. It was the two door model. With great power comes great responsibility. The Armada and Titan brought the power so now the Pathfinder and Frontier are responsible for making sure that everyone gets a taste of it. The Pathfinder will be repping the VQ we all know and love. The Xterra was my little automotive fantasy back in 1999. I was so hyped up about this world's first true SUV that after it's release I would take pictures of myself standing next to one and pretend it was mine. I loved the premise. I loved the devotion to quality. I loved the posters. What I didn't like was that narrow cabin. As the years went by Xterra has made a very big impact on the SUV world. If I don't get in trouble for mentioning, the Xterra Owner's Club of America is so large, they have their own edition. The 2004 World Championship Edition is manufactured in honor of them. It has a very lucrative discounted package and comes with it's own Championship Edition backpack and keychain. These guys and gals meet up in Moab and hit the tough terra firma for fun. Well, soon I'll be giving you the scoop on what's new for the X.

Now, I probably shouldn't mention this but we had the Vice Prez of the SouthCentral Region visit us this week and he put a bug in our ear about what's new for the Titan. Can you say Diesel? How bout three-quarter ton? Well, I know you can say regular cab work truck. All those things can be said in two little words...Market...Share. Before long Nissan will be more than a big name Japanese car company. It'll be the biggest. Watch out Toyota.

Shift_evolving is fun.If you're like me, you can't wait to drive the new Nissan lineup. Which one?

I thought the new pathy was supposed to have the 4 liter under the hood as well, tuned to 270 hp. I swear I saw it on a commercial a couple of weeks ago. any truth to this? What are some of the price ranges of all the new vehicles(frontier, pathy, altima se-r)? Thanks.

Yes, this was posted months ago but it's still fresh.

Pricing, as always, is only approximations based on Nissan North America's invoice prices. What you see on the dealers lots are gonna be MSRP's which will vary from addendum to addendum.

Starting at about $25.5 up to $35K.
