2004 transmission line size????

I am installing an extra cooler and plan on connecting it to the out line on the rad and plan on adding an inline filter to the line between the rad exit line and cooler,does anyone know if the existing short flex hose at the rad is 3/8" or is it 5/16"???

thanks town thats great, I can install them without flanging anything then and wanted to make sure i got the right filter/cooler dia..Im not by-passing my rad so im running a hose from the rad exit to the cooler intake and from the cooler exit to the transmission return line with the filter in between.

That is exactly how I set mine up, go for it! Trans fluid can never be too cool or too clean.

any idea how much it dropped your fluid temps? you have like a 7"x 9" cooler right? I will be towing a 3000 lb (total weight of load) boat flat and low hills and never over 90* outside and am putting a 7"x 12" cooler in. I hope the pathy can handle it without getting hot, I just bought it and have not towed with it yet.

Sorry, I don't have any way of monitoring transmission temperatures so I don't know how much my temps were lowered. I have the B&M 70268 cooler which is rated for 19,000 GVW. However, the B&M 70264 is rated for 24,000 GVW and will fit just fine. I should have gotten that.
