HEY JAYSON..

CORRECT ME IF IM WRONG.. BUT I SAW IN THE PAPER THE OTHER DAY THAT A 2003 NISSAN SENTRA GXE HAS A 1.8 AND 165HP?? IS THAT RIGHT??JOE

That was a typo indeed. 165 is the SE-R auto transmission.

JaysonReliford do auto cars normaly have more HP then the 5-speeds, or less.. someone was tellin me that they give the autos more power to make up for the transmission loss.. i dunno tho...

I don't really think there is a norm. You'll find it both ways. I think in this case, since the 6-speed MT has more HP than the AT, it's about having a high performance subcompact that can sale. And it can do that. Making up for the loss of hp is definitely a factor but I believe there is more involved.
