2004 sentra 1.8s mt hesitation under load - need suggestions!

hey everyone, recently while on my way to work, i ran over a medium sized fallen tree branch. immediately afterward the car would buck and hesitate, with a complete lack of power, if i applied more than 25% throttle. it has been really hard to diagnose since it happens every now and then

It happens in every gear

It does not happen in neutral

kinda makes me suspect a clutch line was dented or bent since it does not affect the car when revving in neutral? it feels like the engine is being choked whenever i apply throttle!

if anyone has any suggestions feel free to chime in no matter how ludicrous they might be! thanks in advance!

I'd start by looking underneath for anything that's obviously broken. It could be a lot of things from a bent exhaust pipe to a loose sensor.
