I have a 2004 Sentra 1.8L automatic transmission with 150000 kms.

The other day the car failed to start. Apparently this model has had some starter issues?

Anyway, engine was flooded. Sparkplugs were changed and car started fine.

Problem now is the heat is not working and the engine coolant gauge is acting up even though it's never happened before. Levels are okay. Oddly enough it happens when idle at a light or when turning right??

Never had any issues with the car and have had regular maintenance on it.

Had a 1989 Nissan Stanza that lasted until 2003 with 250000 kms, without any problems.

Father had a 1979 Datsun 510 without any problems.

Try replacing the Thermostat. they are typically cheap. it may be causing your issues.

Thanks. Getting it checked out. Hope it's not a blown gasket.

Thermostat is cheaper, but flooding is pretty extreme for a thermostat issue.

I haven't heard too many problems with the starter, though the fuel pump is an issue.

Try the thermostat first, but it may be a headgasket.

Welcome to NICO!

You'll need the wiring harness, ECU, and front/rear motor mount crossmember from an SR20 Sentra to make it work, along with a piggyback computer or a retune on the ECU to adjust for the VE. Here 2001 Sentras are B15's, not N16s, N is the Pulsar chassis, which we don't have here, so I'm not sure which chassis your Sentra actually uses.
