I am running on 215/ 55-17, plan to up-grade to 225/55-17 or 235/50-17What will the pros and cons of these alternatives. I am not considering 18 because want to keep softer ride ( my car is my office) I migth consider sway bars to improve handling. Pls reply your opinions the are sure helpful.

Hey Ocho,

I recently changed my stock size tires from a 215/55/17 to a 225/45/17, I believe you want to keep the same rolling diameter so that you speedometer will not be off by much.

Check this site to see your options http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCalculator.asp

I hope this helps

Yes, i visited the tire rack and checked diameters on the tire sizes I mentioned and they are the same + or - by a few cc. 225/45-17 are a lot smaler in diam. than OEM. My concern is, What problems will I anconter in my front end and handling. Thanks for your imput.
