2004 Quest - Rattles

My 2004 Quest SL has 5K miles and am now having a rattle from the front area of car. The service at Nissan has heard it but I get "Its hard to determine where it coming from". It occurs mainly over rough or bumpy road conditions and it happens frequently.

Can this problem rattle be a bad strut?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had a quest in the shop that had a rattle from the front. It wasent just on bumpy roads either, if you did some hard snap throttle shots you also heard the same rattle. turned out the front cat had come apart inside. that vehicle also ended up getting a long block since the cat peices got into the cyl's. It had better then 30% leak down in 2 of the front cyls. Not sayin this is whats wrong with your car since so many things can cause a rattle but it is something for you to consider.

The heat sheild above the muffler has also be known to come loose on a couple vans that I have worked on, which sounds like a loose strut.
